About the role

Commercial Project Manager overseeing financial performance, forecasting, cash management, and profitability for Nordex’s wind energy projects. Coordinating Finance, accounting, and project teams from sales handover through completion.

Responsibilities

Act as the single point of contact for the Project financial profile and performance.
Track and explain revenue, cost, and margin changes throughout project execution, from initial to final forecast.
Maintain and administer the Project Report, including forecasts, actuals, risks and opportunities.
Track and analyze project costs and revenue recognition for accuracy against execution progress.
Prepare monthly forecast proposals for the Project Manager and Cost Owners.
Work with the Project Manager to understand cost impacts and influence project profitability.
Track and explain monthly forecast changes.
Understand and communicate project risks and opportunities.
Plan, invoice, and timely collect customer cash in coordination with the Project Manager.
Process project guarantees and payment securities and ensure their timely return or release.
Act as Cost Owner for commercial and financial project cost items, interfacing between Finance and the Project Team.
Consolidate, analyze and report Project CM and its historical development, including exposure from risks and opportunities.
Analyze actuals and purchase orders to estimate cost to complete with Cost Owners and the Project Manager.
Review, challenge and approve project figures before submission.
Coordinate closely with accounting for accurate and efficient reporting.
Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.

BS in Accounting/Finance required.
MBA strongly preferred.
3-5 years of business finance experience, with emphasis on financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
Ability to successfully complete all Canadian regulatory laws surrounding pre-employment screening requirements.
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada; no immigration sponsorship is available.
Valid passport and ability to travel to the United States for occasional business trips.
Fluency in English and French is mandatory; Spanish and/or German is a plus.
A full, valid driver’s license and insurability under the company auto policy are required.
Strong understanding of and commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
Ability to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Ability to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.
Ability to properly use applicable safety equipment.
