About the role

Commercial Project Manager overseeing forecasting, cost control, cash management, and profitability for Nordex’s onshore wind energy projects in Montreal.

Responsibilities

Act as the single point of contact for the project financial profile and performance.
Track and explain revenue, cost, margin, forecast, risks, and opportunities throughout project execution.
Maintain and administer the Project Report, including forecasts, actuals, risks, and opportunities.
Track and analyze project costs and revenue recognition for accuracy against execution progress.
Prepare monthly forecast proposals for the Project Manager and Cost Owners.
Work with the Project Manager to understand cost impacts and influence project profitability.
Plan, invoice, and timely collect customer cash in coordination with the Project Manager.
Process project guarantees and payment securities and ensure their timely return or release.
Act as Cost Owner for commercial and financial project cost items and interface between Finance and the Project Team.
Consolidate, analyze, and report project contribution margin and exposure from risks and opportunities.
Analyze actuals and purchase orders to estimate cost to complete with Cost Owners and the Project Manager.
Review, challenge, and approve project figures before submission.
Coordinate with accounting to ensure accurate and efficient reporting.
Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.

BS in Accounting/Finance required.
MBA strongly preferred.
3-5 years of business finance experience, with emphasis on financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
Ability to successfully complete all Canadian regulatory laws surrounding pre-employment screening requirements.
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada. No immigration sponsorship is available for this role.
Valid passport and ability to travel to the United States for occasional business trips.
Fluency in English and French is mandatory.
Spanish and/or German is a plus.
A full, valid driver’s license and insurability under the company auto policy are required.
