About the role
- Senior Broker Compensation Specialist managing compensation, forecasting, and financial analysis for Northbridge, a Canadian commercial insurance provider. Supporting broker distribution strategy and governance.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee complex broker compensation programs
- Support Northbridge's broker distribution strategy
- Manage contingent profit commissions and incentive programs
- Handle budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Ensure accurate payments and strong governance
- Deliver compensation initiatives with Corporate Sales & Distribution, Regional S&D, and Finance leaders
- Provide meaningful financial insights
- Support strategic planning and informed business decisions
- Identify trends, explain variances, and improve processes
Requirements
- CPA designation and progressive experience in financial analysis, compensation programs, budgeting, or a related field
- Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling and data analysis
- Experience with forecasting, accruals, variance analysis, and operational budgeting
- Knowledge of compensation, commission, incentive, or broker compensation programs
- Insurance industry experience is a strong asset
- CIP designation is a strong asset
- Ability to turn complex financial data into clear insights and recommendations
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and annual planning cycles
- Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with leaders and business partners
- Ability to identify trends, explain variances, and solve problems through analysis
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial calculations and reporting
