Responsibilities
Lead the corporate finance function at Nutrition International headquarters
Provide analytical and technical support to the global finance unit
Oversee accurate and timely financial information, including journal entries, account reconciliations and analysis
Manage consolidation of financial reporting across Nutrition International
Coordinate month-end and year-end cycles
File tax, regulatory and statutory documents
Support country and regional office registrations, including corporate signing officers
Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures
Maintain compliance with policies, procedures and internal controls
Manage cash and cashflow requirements across Nutrition International
Support financial investments through cashflow forecasting, investment-performance monitoring and accounting and management reports
Coordinate the annual external audit process for headquarters
Prepare draft financial statements and note disclosures
Act as Finance functional owner of NetSuite
Ensure timely and effective delivery of day-to-day headquarters Corporate Finance functions
Provide people leadership through coaching, performance management and development opportunities
Create conditions for high employee engagement and high-quality output
Requirements
University degree in accounting, finance or business
Completion of a recognized Canadian accounting designation (CPA, CA, CGA, CMA)
Minimum of 7 years accounting experience
At least 2 years in a management role
Very strong people leadership skills
Sound technical and professional knowledge of finance and accounting
Knowledge of Canadian reporting standards
Ability to identify process improvements and workflow efficiencies
Ability to maintain robust oversight and internal controls
Good judgement in analyzing data and information
Ability to adapt procedures to new or unusual situations
Fluency in English is essential
Working capacity in French is an advantage
