About the role
- Student Research Assistant researching digital storytelling and patient-centred cancer communication for Okanagan College’s BC Cancer project. Preparing annotated bibliographies and collaborating with patient partners.
Responsibilities
- Conduct online research into current communications training courses and programs in the Canadian healthcare field
- Research best practices around patient-centred communication
- Research the use of digital storytelling in healthcare contexts
- Research barriers and discrimination in healthcare communication
- Meet regularly with the project supervisor
- Prepare annotated bibliographies of research findings
- Work 5–25 hours per week depending on project needs and scheduling
- Complete 200 funded hours during the term
