About the role
- SIEM/SOAR cybersecurity analyst monitoring threats, building alerts, and measuring controls. Supporting Wepoint’s digital transformation work for businesses and public sector organizations.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders involved in cybersecurity monitoring and alerting
- Create and enhance monitoring use cases, alerts, and dashboards, and track the progress of mandates associated with these activities
- Establish and regularly review monitoring and alert management practices
- Measure the effectiveness of existing security controls
- Establish and maintain appropriate documentation
- Collaborate with cybersecurity technology analysts to provide subject-matter expertise
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience
- Strong knowledge of SIEM/SOAR software and environments (Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, Palo Alto)
- Experience developing use cases related to security logs
- Information security certification is an asset
- Up-to-date knowledge of cybersecurity, including emerging security solutions, vulnerabilities, and threat vectors
