About the role

Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain robust data pipelines within the Microsoft ecosystem (Fabric, Synapse, Data Factory, Azure Functions)
- Work directly with clients to understand their needs, propose appropriate technical solutions, and manage project follow-up
- Document technical and functional architectures, data transformations and processes
- Contribute to establishing engineering standards related to code quality, data quality, CI/CD, security and performance
- Collaborate with other engineers to deliver stable, optimized and scalable solutions
- Provide technical mentorship to colleagues and share best practices in data engineering and architecture
- Implement data extraction processes via various APIs to integrate external data
- Oversee deployments, operational costs and the performance of cloud solutions
- Design and implement data governance and quality strategies, including metadata, security, privacy and cataloging
- Stay up to date on cloud platforms, analytical architecture modernization and data governance
Requirements
- More than 5 years of experience in a similar role. Consulting experience or work in a multi-client environment is an asset
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
- Experience with Spark and modern analytical architectures (ELT, medallion, star schema)
- Experience in the Microsoft Azure ecosystem (Functions, Storage, Fabric, Synapse, Data Factory)
- Excellent communication skills in French and English
- Rigor, curiosity and attention to detail
- Strong results orientation and a strong customer-service focus
- Experience with Snowflake, BigQuery or dbt (asset)
- Microsoft certifications (Azure, Fabric, Power BI) (asset)
