About the role
- Senior Full Stack Developer building user-centric digital services for Alberta’s government. Delivering solution design, development, deployment, and reusable platform components.
Responsibilities
- Participate in project research and discovery, including field research and user interviews
- Lead technical discovery and deliver related artifacts such as diagrams and documentation
- Provide detailed solution designs based on shared understanding from discovery
- Develop features for exemplar projects that meet product-owner needs and improve Albertans’ experiences
- Discover and resolve functional and non-functional defects
- Enhance solution code quality, tooling, and documentation for maintainability
- Collaborate with frontend designers to deliver consistently designed solutions
- Advise and inform product owners on technical efforts and implementation options
- Support solution deployment and launch for limited and general availability
- Contribute reusable common components and capabilities to a platform of user-centric services
- Onboard technical team members
- Maintain technical documentation and improve team development and quality practices and processes
Requirements
- Senior-level Full Stack Developer
- Ability to work across two to three projects
- Experience contributing to field research and user interviews
- Ability to lead technical discovery and deliver diagrams and documentation
- Ability to create detailed solution designs based on discovery findings
- Ability to develop features for digital service projects
- Ability to discover and resolve functional and non-functional defects
- Ability to improve code quality, tooling, and documentation for maintainability
- Ability to collaborate with frontend designers
- Ability to advise product owners on technical efforts and implementation options
- Ability to support solution deployment and launch
- Ability to focus on reuse in solution design and implementation
- Ability to contribute reusable common components and capabilities

Benefits
- Full-time basis with a 7.25-hour work day
- Contract anticipated for one year, with possible extension up to 24 months on the same terms and conditions
