About the role

  • FP&A Manager leading budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial modeling for People Corporation, a provider of benefits, retirement, wealth, wellness, and HR solutions. Partnering with P&C leaders on business decisions and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the VP, FP&A as a trusted finance business partner to the P&C leadership team
  • Lead and coordinate annual budgeting, periodic forecasts, and long-term financial planning
  • Own month-end and quarterly financial reporting and consolidation
  • Prepare detailed variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior periods
  • Own financial models, assumptions, data integrity, and supporting planning and reporting schedules
  • Improve forecast accuracy and budget quality through driver-based models and operational insights
  • Build relationships with P&C leaders to understand performance, value drivers, trends, and financial impacts
  • Develop and evaluate business cases, including scenario and sensitivity analysis
  • Support opportunities to improve growth, profitability, efficiency, and resource allocation
  • Translate complex financial results into actionable insights for senior management
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Implement finance best practices, process improvements, and reporting enhancements
  • Lead special projects and provide ad hoc financial analysis

Requirements

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 5-7 years of progressive experience in FP&A, Finance, and/or Accounting, with demonstrated experience supporting business leaders
  • CPA designation preferred
  • Strong understanding of financial metrics, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, variance analysis, and analytical tools
  • Demonstrated experience building, owning, and improving financial models and planning processes
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to understand business drivers and translate financial information into practical, actionable insights
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and build credibility with senior leaders
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results under tight timelines
  • High level of accountability, adaptability, curiosity, and ownership
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to build effective cross-functional relationships
  • Strong facilitation skills and the ability to challenge constructively and drive alignment across teams
  • Continuous improvement orientation with a focus on forecast quality, efficiency, and value creation
  • Prior experience in a Property & Casualty insurance brokerage environment is considered an asset but is not required
