About the role

  • Intern supporting the engineering department for a process expansion project at Grifols Canada. Collaborating with engineers to prepare documentation and assist in various engineering tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare equipment and system manuals
  • Review P&IDs (piping and instrumentation diagrams)
  • Verify component lists: equipment, valves, and instrumentation
  • Gather system documentation
  • Tag/identify components
  • Support engineers with more advanced tasks (e.g., sequence and alarm testing)
  • Work with electricians to review electrical schematics
  • Assist automation and process engineers with on-site program testing
  • Perform various office tasks (e.g., scanning, organizing digital files, collecting signatures)
  • Prepare meeting minutes and track deliverables.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an engineering program (Bachelor's or Master's in Chemical or Biomedical Engineering)
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 on a 4.33 scale
  • Available for a full-time 8 to 12-month internship at our Montreal site
  • Proficiency with Microsoft systems (e.g., Microsoft Office); experience with AutoCAD is an asset
  • Ability to interpret piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) is an asset
  • Team player with a collaborative attitude
  • Ability to communicate in English and French (strong English proficiency is required for documentation and communications with other Grifols sites outside Quebec and Canada, e.g., Spain and the USA).
