About the role

  • Manufacturing Technician operating albumin purification and packaging equipment at Grifols, a global plasma-derived medicines company. Performing GMP-regulated production, inspection, cleaning, and documentation on the night shift.

Responsibilities

  • Primarily work in Albumin Purification while developing multidisciplinary skills through rotation across Fractionation, IGIV Purification, Filling, and Packaging
  • Work in a manufacturing environment regulated by cGMPs, SOPs, safety procedures, and company policies
  • Clean and maintain work areas to control bioburden levels
  • Clean operating equipment to prevent product contamination
  • Maintain accurate records and logs
  • Assist with operating process equipment safely
  • Set up, operate, and clean manufacturing and packaging equipment
  • Set up and operate CIP/SIP skids, autoclaves, and parts washers
  • Troubleshoot packaging equipment and operate label-verification vision systems, vial labelers, cartoners, shrink-banding machines, and related equipment
  • Conduct periodic challenges for packaging systems
  • Inspect packaged and pre-packaged products for defects
  • Count products before and after packaging
  • Execute manufacturing batch records in designated areas
  • Immediately escalate issues that could potentially impact cGMP compliance or manufacturing processes
  • Participate in sampling, validation, environmental monitoring, in-process testing, weighing, calibration, and equipment maintenance
  • Participate in writing and implementing GMP documents using the change-control system
  • Maintain records and data in accordance with GDPs
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning
  • Maintain and replenish manufacturing supplies

Requirements

  • High school diploma or CEGEP/college diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology
  • One year of experience in the biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull at least 15 kg and wear PPE as required
  • Some tasks involve working in a refrigerated environment
  • Experience working in a cleanroom preferred
  • Bilingual in spoken and written French and English
  • English is required for documentation, reports, and interactions with Health Canada, the FDA, and multidisciplinary departments based outside Quebec and Canada
  • For manufacturing technicians performing visual inspection as qualified personnel: vision examination, including color-blindness testing
