About the role

  • Survey Assistant conducting field surveys and construction staking for Phasor’s power infrastructure projects. Operating survey equipment while traveling across Canada and the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily field survey activities, including obtaining survey measurements and staking for infrastructure construction under the supervision of the Survey Crew Chief
  • Communicate effectively and regularly with the Survey Crew Chief, Field Leads, Project Managers, Professional Land Surveyors, and Client Field Representatives
  • Interpret design drawings, field data, field sketches, and base maps
  • Travel based on project location
  • Operate and maintain assigned survey equipment, ATVs/UTVs/Argos, tools, and materials
  • Actively promote Phasor's Health, Safety and Environmental Program

Requirements

  • Previous Survey experience in engineering, construction, or industrial surveys
  • Must have valid Driver’s License and maintain a “clean” driver’s record
  • Technical diploma in Geomatics or Civil Engineering is preferred
