About the role

  • Senior Director leading competitive intelligence, product marketing, and sales enablement at Ping Identity. Building battlecards and playbooks to help cybersecurity sales teams win.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of competitive intelligence programs and sales enablement tools.
  • Create competitive insights, including beat-the-competition presentations, battlecards, analyst research responses, and responses to major vendor product introductions.
  • Develop a sales playbook strategy aligned with Ping’s product strategy and market differentiation.
  • Analyze competitors’ products, pricing, messaging, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Develop and maintain competitive selling presentations, battlecards, win/loss insights, and executive briefing content.
  • Partner with Product, Marketing, Sales, Sales Operations, and Analyst Relations to synthesize market trends and threats.
  • Build and maintain modular playbooks tailored to buyer personas, verticals, and use cases.
  • Collaborate with Sales Enablement on training and reinforcement programs.
  • Ensure competitive insights are actionable with Product and Solutions Marketing, Field Enablement, and Sales Leadership.
  • Measure playbook adoption and impact on pipeline and win rates with Demand Generation and Sales/Revenue Operations.
  • Manage competitive intelligence platforms and enablement solutions such as Crayon, Seismic, and Highspot.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of competitive and market intelligence professionals.

Requirements

  • BA/BS or equivalent industry experience required.
  • 15+ years product marketing, competitive intelligence, and/or sales enablement experience in a cybersecurity, IT operations, or networking company.
  • Previous experience in a lead role with responsibilities for sales playbook development and training.
  • Familiarity with identity access management.
  • Strong collaboration skills with demonstrated ability to partner with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong ability to influence and work cross-functionally.
  • Results-oriented leadership experience with proven ability to build creative, collaborative teams; develop people; and link performance to overall business objectives.
  • Knowledge of adjacent technologies including SASE/SSE, endpoint security, SIEM, and EDR is a plus.
  • Understanding of agentic AI is a plus.
