About the role

  • Senior Business Application Analyst improving SaaS processes, platform administration, and integrations at Planitar, a spatial-data company. Driving process modernization across business functions.

Responsibilities

  • Map current-state processes across sales, marketing, finance, people operations, and support
  • Identify process friction and design improved ways of working with teams
  • Lead migration of platform administration from departmental experts into IT
  • Administer platforms, including configuration, licences, permissions, fields, workflows, and automation
  • Build integrations using native connectors and low-code tooling
  • Remove manual re-keying between systems
  • Own build-vs-buy decisions and govern internal capability development
  • Serve as the single intake point for application requests
  • Provide tier-3 support
  • Produce documentation and train business-side process owners
  • Manage renewals, licence right-sizing, and access reviews

Requirements

  • Demonstrated business process improvement experience; able to walk through a process mapped, redesigned and implemented, including measurable changes
  • 3+ years as the hands-on administrator of one or more business SaaS platforms
  • Ability to run a process mapping session with a team that did not request one and gain buy-in
  • Strong structural reasoning, including permissions models, field mapping, and multi-branch conditional automation
  • Practical integration experience with native connectors and low-code tooling such as Zapier, Make, Workato, or Power Automate
  • Working knowledge of SSO, SCIM provisioning, and role-based access control
  • Sound build-vs-buy judgment with total cost of ownership considerations
  • Credibility with senior stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
