About the role

  • Senior Financial Analyst overseeing receivables, payables, reconciliations, and month-end close. Supporting Planitar’s spatial-data property technology business as it scales globally.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and execute customer invoicing processes, including review of manual invoices and validation of automated billing outputs
  • Monitor and manage cash application, including Stripe settlements, manual receipts, and unapplied cash resolution
  • Perform monthly A/R subledger to G/L reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
  • Support collections by identifying overdue balances, billing errors, or payment issues and coordinating resolution
  • Ensure customer setups are complete and accurate
  • Review and process vendor bills for completeness, accuracy, coding, and approvals
  • Oversee manual payments, EFTs, and wires in compliance with approval thresholds and documentation requirements
  • Manage project-based payouts aligned with project completion and revenue recognition
  • Perform A/P aging reviews and resolve discrepancies or aged items
  • Ensure vendor setups and changes follow documented controls and tax requirements
  • Perform or review monthly bank reconciliations for all accounts
  • Investigate and resolve reconciling items and maintain reconciliation schedules
  • Execute and coordinate day-to-day month-end close activities under the Finance Manager’s close calendar and governance
  • Support manual consolidation activities, including trial balance preparation and intercompany reconciliation
  • Maintain close checklists and evidence folders for review and audit requirements
  • Lead implementation of workflows and tools to improve process quality and efficiency
  • Act as the first line of review for transactional accounting accuracy
  • Identify recurring errors, bottlenecks, and rework drivers and propose fixes
  • Document and maintain SOPs for recurring accounting processes
  • Ensure compliance with approval matrices and internal controls

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in accounting operations (A/R, A/P, cash, close)
  • Strong experience with month-end close execution and reconciliations
  • Comfort working in high volume, growing environments
  • Hands on experience with cloud accounting systems (Xero, NetSuite or similar)
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline
  • Ability to work independently and meet close deadlines
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills for issue escalation
