About the role
- VP Finance leading scalable FP&A, accounting, controls, and M&A at Planitar. Advising executives at a property technology company backed by REA Group.
Responsibilities
- Own the finance function end-to-end, including FP&A, accounting operations, billing, treasury, and financial reporting
- Lead and develop a team of 5–8, including direct management of a Sr. Manager, Finance and oversight of Financial Analysts/Billing Specialists
- Drive M&A activity, including deal evaluation, due diligence, structuring support, and post-acquisition financial integration across international entities
- Design and implement scalable financial processes and controls, replacing manual processes with repeatable, integrated systems
- Lead or support ERP/financial systems implementations and improve automation, reporting accuracy, and close efficiency
- Partner with the CEO and executive team on financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and parent- and board-level reporting
- Oversee cash flow management, banking relationships, and treasury operations across multiple currencies/jurisdictions
- Ensure compliance with tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements across operating geographies
- Build and mature FP&A capabilities to support data-driven decision-making
- Advise the CEO on capital structure, financing strategy, and long-term financial planning
- Complete IFRS transition with a clean audit opinion and approved accounting policy manual applied across all entities
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including prior experience at the VP level
- Direct experience with global M&A, including deal evaluation, due diligence, integration, and managing finance across multiple international entities/jurisdictions
- Track record of designing and implementing financial processes and controls, ideally having taken a finance function through a period of scaling
- Experience operating inside a company with $100M+ in revenue and comfort operating in a leaner, faster-moving organization in the $50M range
- Proven people leadership experience managing teams of 5+ across finance/accounting functions
- NetSuite implementation or optimization experience strongly preferred; broader ERP design and implementation experience considered
- CPA (or equivalent) designation preferred
- Strong communication skills and comfort operating as a direct financial advisor to the CEO/executive team
- Experience in a technology, SaaS, or hardware-adjacent business is an asset
