Agriculture Technician diagnosing and repairing agricultural, turf, and compact construction equipment. Supporting precision agriculture technology and customers for Ontario John Deere dealership Premier Equipment.
Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair agricultural, CWP, turf, and compact construction equipment
Perform on-site diagnostics and repairs on agricultural, CWP, and turf equipment and established Ag Management Solutions (AMS) products
Participate in required Service EDUCATE training programs
Support customer clinics
Review and explain maintenance, repair, and service concerns directly with customers
Document service concerns on work orders
Promote and sell Premier Equipment Ltd. service programs directly to customers when applicable
Establish and implement stocking processes with the Parts Department to maintain proper seasonal parts inventory in the vehicle when applicable
Maintain current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products
Follow all safety rules and regulations
Complete required reports and forms
Account for all time and materials used in assigned duties
Maintain tools and service vehicle
Support precision agriculture technology
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of hands-on service repair experience
Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical diagnostic abilities
Proficient with diagnostic tools and basic computer functions
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to lift 75 lbs. repeatedly and operate diagnostic equipment
Valid driver’s license
Apprenticeship training or technical diploma is an asset
Licensed technician (310T, 310S, 421A, or 425A) preferred
Advanced or Master Service Technician certification or equivalent experience preferred
Experience with John Deere equipment and systems preferred
CDL and forklift licenses preferred
Background in agricultural, turf, or compact construction equipment preferred
