About the role
- Financial Accountant supporting period-end close, audits, and compliance for RB Global’s commercial-asset marketplace. Preparing reconciliations, working papers, variance analyses, and statutory reports.
Responsibilities
- Perform general accounting tasks related to period-end closing, SOX and financial statement audit support, Financial Operations accounting work, and compliance
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of contract revenue recognition, inventory valuation, and At-Risk contracts in accordance with GAAP, corporate, and regulatory requirements
- Prepare and/or review monthly and quarterly working papers for inventory and risk contracts
- Prepare variance analysis for P&L and Balance Sheet
- Understand transactional and contractual obligations and become involved in resolving specific business issues
- Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations
- Prepare statutory compliance reporting
- Participate in special projects, committees, and other accounting duties or projects
- Perform other assigned duties
Requirements
- 3–5 years of relevant experience preferred in an accounting or finance role
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software
- Oracle experience is an asset
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping competencies
- Excellent mathematical skills
- Time management skills
