- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
- Oversee consolidation activities and help maintain a robust control environment.
- Prepare and review consolidated financial results, notes to the financial statements, supporting schedules, financial analyses, and audit-ready working papers.
- Review and approve complex journal entries.
- Oversee analytical reviews and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Manage a team of accounting professionals, providing coaching, guidance, and technical support.
- Identify and implement improvements, automation, and standardization across accounting processes.
- Resolve complex technical accounting issues, support audits, guide accounting practices, and ensure compliance.
- Advise the finance team and internal business partners.
- Collaborate on integration, process optimization, finance transformation, and organizational evolution projects.
Requirements
- A CPA designation.
- At least 7 years of accounting experience, including experience managing a team.
- A strong understanding of financial close and consolidation processes.
- A strong interest in continuous improvement and process transformation.
- The ability to influence, engage, and support teams through change.
- French-English bilingualism is required to communicate effectively with internal clients across Canada.
