About the role

  • Product Manager leading Rivian’s connected EV mobile app experience. Owning strategy, app coherence, quality, and end-to-end delivery across mobile and vehicle software.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Rivian mobile app initiatives from strategy and roadmap through definition and delivery
  • Own core app experiences including home and vehicle status, remote commands, onboarding, account setup, notifications, and alerts
  • Own information architecture, navigation, and interaction patterns to ensure app coherence
  • Partner with mobile platform and vehicle software teams to improve launch time, command latency, reliability, crash-free rate, and vehicle wake behavior
  • Deliver coherent end-to-end features across mobile and vehicle experiences
  • Work within the mobile platform architecture and release model with platform, cloud, and domain product leads
  • Take features from ideation to release through requirements, user stories, design and engineering collaboration
  • Use owner feedback, app analytics, app store and support signals, and third-party quality data to inform decisions
  • Define success metrics for shipped features
  • Partner across vehicle software, cloud services, identity and profiles, charging, and service teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Business, Engineering) or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of product management experience shipping consumer products at scale
  • Direct experience shipping mobile applications on iOS or Android, including release cadence and app quality ownership
  • Proven end-to-end ownership from strategy through definition through delivery, in close partnership with design and engineering
  • Strong analytical fluency: defining metrics, working directly with data, and adjusting course based on evidence
  • Comfort using AI tools throughout the product craft, from research synthesis to requirements to prototyping
  • Experience synthesizing user insights, technical constraints, and business goals into actionable product decisions
  • Clear, concise product writing and exceptional communication across teams and competing priorities
  • Preferred: Direct experience owning a flagship consumer mobile app, or a major surface within one, at scale
  • Preferred: Experience with native iOS and Android alongside cross-platform frameworks such as React Native
  • Preferred: Experience with connected hardware or companion apps
  • Preferred: Experience in automotive, mobility, or connected devices
  • Preferred: Experience with electric vehicles, EV charging networks, or range constraints
  • Preferred: Hands-on work with AI-assisted or LLM-powered product experiences
  • Preferred: Familiarity with mobile analytics and experimentation tools such as Firebase
  • Preferred: Experience working inside a design system and partnering with design on its evolution
