About the role

  • Technical Sales Specialist helping Canadian manufacturers adopt Rockwell Automation technology. Supporting pre-sales, product demonstrations, troubleshooting, and field engineering through Rockwell’s EDGE program.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in Rockwell Automation's EDGE Technical Sales and Consulting Program, including sales, technical, and professional training in classroom and on-the-job settings
  • Respond to prospect emails, phone calls, and demo requests
  • Demonstrate the capabilities and benefits of Rockwell Automation's product portfolio to customers
  • Provide technical support in pre-sales activities for a defined product range and geography
  • Support commercial marketing activities
  • Interface with product teams
  • Act as the contact for product and quality issues
  • Provide post-sales troubleshooting when needed
  • Serve as a local interface with Tech Support
  • Act as a technical resource for Rockwell Automation technology and products
  • Complete a rotation in the field service engineering group for hands-on learning and application implementation with customers
  • Report to the program manager during formal training, then transition to a domain expert manager for coaching through customer interactions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Legal authorization to work in Canada is required
  • Rockwell Automation will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future
  • Must be location flexible
  • Valid Canadian driver's license
  • Previous intern experience with Rockwell Automation, its Partner Network, or its customers (preferred)
  • Comfortable working with a variety of individuals (preferred)
  • Previous co-op or intern experience in manufacturing or customer-facing role (preferred)
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Distribution, Engineering Sales, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Supply Chain, or another similar technical degree (preferred)
  • Recent college graduate or graduating in December 2026 or Spring 2027, or within the past 3 years from Spring 2027
