About the role
- Staff Data Scientist turning data into forecasts, experiments, and apps for Roofr’s roofing CRM. Partnering with leaders to improve growth, products, sales, and customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Architect optimization analyses and forecasts for Growth, Strategy, Revenue, Marketing, and Product teams
- Partner with executive leadership to translate complex analysis into actionable decisions and process changes
- Design counterfactual analyses and A/B tests for UX, product features, and customer experience
- Build data apps that automate and improve sales and marketing processes
- Own projects end-to-end from framing business questions through shipping models and presenting recommendations
- Work with the semantic layer and DBT models powering the AI-driven analytics stack
- Create reusable data science frameworks, templates, and guides
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in data science in a fast-moving business setting
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake, DBT, and BI tools such as Sigma, Looker, Metabase, Omni, or similar
- Strong SQL and statistical modeling skills
- Experience building forecasting and causal inference models
- Love of documentation and Git
- Appreciation for scalable data models and shared semantic layers
- Ability to manage projects across cross-functional stakeholder groups with minimal oversight
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to collaborate through brainstorming, peer reviews, and pressure-testing ideas
