About the role

  • Project Engineer leading multidisciplinary teams managing aircraft-engine modules and systems. Pratt & Whitney Canada designs and manufactures aerospace engines for global aviation markets.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership to a multidisciplinary team for an assigned engine module or system Integrated Product Team (IPT)
  • Define and achieve product design requirements
  • Manage IPTs to achieve program objectives and stakeholder requirements
  • Lead design verification, validation, and certification activities
  • Meet program schedule and budget commitments
  • Assist the Program Director and Program Managers as required
  • Interface with customers through Engineering Module/System Management

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 7 years of experience, or a master’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience
  • Strong understanding of gas turbine engines gained through one or more engineering disciplines
  • Proven technical leadership
  • Ability to identify opportunities and challenges and recommend solutions
  • Highly adaptable
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Self-starter committed to bringing tasks to completion
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to anticipate future business opportunities and requirements
  • Availability to travel, both between company sites and externally
  • Flexibility with working hours
  • Very good command of English, with the ability to read, understand, write, and communicate with customers, suppliers, and international colleagues
  • The selected candidate must successfully complete a criminal background check and obtain the required controlled goods clearances
