About the role

  • Consultant en subventions gouvernementales chez Ryan, cabinet de services fiscaux. Recherche de programmes, analyse d’admissibilité, préparation de demandes et suivi de conformité pour les clients.

Responsibilities

  • Support managers and senior consultants in delivering government grant consulting services to clients, in French and English
  • Research government funding programs and assess client eligibility
  • Prepare analyses, grant applications and related documentation
  • Prepare hiring- and training-related grant applications
  • Support production of compliance reports following approvals
  • Monitor new programs and changes to existing programs
  • Communicate with granting authorities to clarify requirements
  • Keep the internal database and program summaries up to date
  • Assist senior consultants in preparing grant analysis reports for manager review
  • Prepare hiring- and training-related grants for manager review
  • Prepare responses to granting authorities as required
  • Perform any other related duties as needed
  • Interact regularly with employees, clients and external vendors in person, by email and by phone

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent diploma in Business/Administration, Accounting, Finance, Political Science, Journalism or a Science is required
  • General knowledge of federal and provincial grants is a major asset
  • Knowledge of business development is a major asset
  • Knowledge of business plan writing is a major asset
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong research skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Energetic and hardworking
  • Client-focused
  • Solid intermediate knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and web navigation/research
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to work in both French and English
  • Independent travel up to 10–15%
  • Position has no supervisory responsibilities
