About the role
- Data Center Security Officer securing Salute’s critical infrastructure facilities. Conducting patrols, access control, surveillance, incident response, and emergency support.
Responsibilities
- Conduct unarmed interior and exterior foot and/or vehicle patrols
- Control access and egress, entrances, exits, and traffic
- Monitor closed-circuit television and alarm systems
- Compose concise and complete administrative and incident reports
- Deter criminal activity and misconduct
- Observe and report suspicious activity and safety hazards
- Monitor departing personnel and authorized property removal
- Enforce security policies and warn violators of rule infractions
- Investigate and report maintenance, safety, security, fire, evacuation, and hazardous incidents
- Interview witnesses, complainants, and victims; gather and preserve physical evidence
- Provide backup to client personnel and assist Fire Department, EMS, and other officials
- Support crowd control and manage traffic accidents
- Verify employee identification on company property
- Maintain assigned equipment in functional and presentable condition
Requirements
- BSP Guard card
- Some security experience is preferred
- Must be able to work any shift and multiple shifts
- Ability to handle administrative and data entry tasks
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to handle stressful situations and emergencies
- Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 40 lbs
- Ability to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs
- Ability to stand for long periods in various work environments
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach
- Basic physical fitness to respond quickly to emergencies
- Ability to move quickly and efficiently in varied work environments
- Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity
- Clear vision, with or without correction
- Ability to differentiate color-coded warning signs, labels, and cables
- Ability to work in a wide range of indoor temperatures
- Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, rain, or snow
- Ability to work in elevated noise levels while wearing hearing protection
- Valid driver's license for work-related travel, as required
