About the role

Intermediate Platform Developer maintaining platform infrastructure and microservices while collaborating across teams for a Canadian company. Participating in on-call rotations to ensure system reliability.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain platform infrastructure, microservices, and databases
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system scalability, reliability, and performance
Diagnose and resolve reported issues with functionality and security
Develop and maintain code in T-SQL and PowerShell
Collaborate with application developers, quality assurance, and operations personnel
Estimate the effort required to implement changes to applications and processes
Investigate and resolve alerts provided by various monitoring services
Notify development leads of new issues found
Support AWS infrastructure
Identify and improve upon strengths and weaknesses in development and business processes
Evaluate and enhance application performance
Automate routine tasks
Maintain and enhance application observability
Document operations procedures and application output
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers
Participate in on-call rotations to ensure system availability and quick resolution of issues
