About the role

  • Technical Program Manager overseeing hardware, software, manufacturing, and deployment projects for Serve Robotics’ sidewalk delivery robots. Coordinating engineering, operations, and product teams to scale autonomous deliveries.

Responsibilities

  • Define project scope, timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies for hardware and software projects, including robot feature development, continuous upgrade projects, and new product development
  • Lead and coordinate efforts across hardware and software engineering teams, product managers, operations teams, and business stakeholders
  • Gather requirements, align priorities, and communicate project status updates
  • Develop and implement processes that streamline workflows and improve efficiency
  • Help teams set up and execute sprints to prioritize and track work
  • Analyze and update existing processes and identify areas for optimization and improvement
  • Coordinate broad communication efforts to keep all teams informed and aligned
  • Create technical specifications, roadmaps, project plans, and status reports

Requirements

  • BS degree in Mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, or another equivalent engineering discipline
  • 3–5 years of experience in engineering program management or technical program management
  • 3–5 years of experience with hardware, systems, or autonomous systems development processes
  • Experience articulating technical concepts to technical and non-technical partners
  • Strong track record managing complex cross-functional projects and shipping product features in a production environment
  • Experience building working relationships with senior leaders and engineers across functions and departments
  • Ability to maintain the big picture and provide clear, well-structured, concise communications tailored to the audience
  • Experience in robotics and autonomous systems, especially those operating in public spaces (standout qualification)
  • Experience with products involving policy or regulatory aspects (standout qualification)
