Senior DevOps Engineer improving Sherweb’s cloud-based IT solution delivery through CI/CD, IaC, GitOps, and AI automation. Supporting secure platforms, operational transitions, and developer self-service.
Responsibilities
Contribute to improving IT solution delivery through design, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of tools and platforms
Transition solutions to operations teams and facilitate knowledge transfer
Strengthen the expertise of peers
Collaborate with development, architecture, operations, and security teams to design reliable, secure, and automated solutions
Identify development-process improvement opportunities and propose implementation strategies
Promote and foster a culture of observability
Maintain, standardize, and enhance CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code solutions
Assess, design, and support shared technology services including container platforms, messaging systems, databases, integration solutions, and cloud services
Implement self-service capabilities and reusable templates for faster, standards-compliant delivery of IT resources, components, and services
Leverage artificial intelligence technologies to develop and deploy automations, assistants, agents, or reusable skills
Perform other related duties as required by the evolution of the role and department needs
Requirements
College diploma or university degree in Information Technology, or any other relevant field of study
Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development and systems administration
Strong knowledge of DevSecOps culture, practices, and tools
Experience creating AI skills using GitHub Copilot or similar platforms to automate recurring tasks within an internal development platform environment is considered a strong asset
Proficiency with SAST, DAST, code quality, and observability tools (Trivy, SonarQube, Snyk, Dependabot, Mend, Datadog)
Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep) and Configuration as Code (Ansible, DSC)
Microsoft certification relevant to the role is required
Ability to develop scripts using Python, PowerShell, and Bash
Experience with Azure-native, virtualized, and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS, Virtual Machines, Helm Charts, Redis, RabbitMQ, Istio)
Experience with CI/CD and GitOps tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Octopus Deploy, Argo CD)
Strong knowledge of operating systems, including Windows Server and Ubuntu Linux
Solid understanding of database systems (Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and NoSQL databases)
Excellent French and English skills, both spoken and written, are essential
