About the role

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the project plan, including scope, deliverables, schedules, dependencies and milestones
- Plan and coordinate functional enhancements and provincial rollouts of the SIGPP
- Define delivery strategies and deployment plans
- Coordinate work between business teams, technology teams and vendors
- Ensure compliance with the methodological framework, governance processes and organizational standards
- Engage and align stakeholders involved in the project
- Facilitate workshops, progress meetings, tactical committees and governance committees
- Ensure coordination between user sectors, DBPTI, VPTI and external partners
- Identify, analyze and track project risks, issues and dependencies
- Develop and implement mitigation strategies
- Escalate issues requiring management or governance decisions
- Track corrective and preventive actions
- Monitor work progress and budget consumption
- Produce dashboards, status reports and presentations for governance bodies
- Measure project performance using management indicators
- Support decision-making with analyses and recommendations
- Contribute to the change management and new-feature deployment strategy
- Coordinate training, communications and user adoption activities
- Prepare business units and support teams before each production release
- Ensure transition to operations and support continuous improvement
- Produce expected deliverables: project plan, master schedule, registers, monthly reports, committee minutes, deployment and transition plans, project closure report and recommendations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Management or a related field
- Minimum 15 years of experience in information technology
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a senior IT project manager within the last 10 years
- Participation in at least 3 assignments of 5,000 person-days each completed in the last 8 years
- Experience in organizational transformation programs or projects
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary and cross-sector teams
- Experience with Microsoft project management tools, notably Dynamics 365 Project Operations or equivalent
- Excellent organizational and coordination skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in French
- Experience in Agile project management or hybrid Agile + Waterfall approaches — an asset
- Knowledge of the healthcare sector — an asset
- Certifications such as PMP, CAPM, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, SAFe, CSPO, PSPO, Agile or Scrum — assets
- Prosci change management certification — an additional asset
