About the role

AI Finance Transformation Manager automating accounting processes for Sophos, a global cybersecurity services company. Building Power Platform solutions, controls, and measurable AI-driven business value.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain AI/Automation use cases across the Accounting Organization, including volumes, cycle times, touch counts, exception rates, and current controls
Convert use cases into a ranked pipeline with a defensible value case using the Sophos AI ROI Success Metrics framework
Redesign current processes and control specifications with business SMEs
Design exception paths, including review ownership and evidence requirements
Take control designs through review with the Controller and Internal Audit
Hold production go/no-go decisions
Run user acceptance testing with business SMEs
Own the hypercare period after go-live
Report delivered monthly value to the CFO Council and Senior Management Leadership reporting cadence
Identify high-value AI opportunities and deliver measurable business impact across Accounting

Five or more years inside an accounting function (AR, AP, Credit, Revenue, General Accounting, or close)
Two or more years of experience in building AI Automation using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Copilot Studio, AI Builder, Power BI)
Personally delivered automations into production in a controlled environment
Ability to describe control design and exception handling
Experience working with internal or external auditors on a process or control change
Ability to explain how process or control changes were evidenced
Ability to decompose processes into steps, decisions, and exceptions precisely enough for a builder to implement
Ability to work across functions without formal authority
Preferred: Experience in SAP, Zuora, or comparable ERP and billing applications
Preferred: Revenue recognition exposure under ASC 606, or month-end close ownership
Legal authorization to work in Canada without requiring employer sponsorship
