About the role

  • Senior fullstack developer building .NET/C# and TypeScript legal-document software. Supporting SOVRA’s public procurement platform used by government agencies across North America.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain web application features, microservices, and APIs using .NET Core in C#.
  • Ensure performance, security, and scalability of backend solutions.
  • Participate in technical analysis, solution design, deployment, corrective maintenance, and application evolution.
  • Apply OWASP and CWE/SANS25 security standards and verify compliance before release.
  • Develop TypeScript front-end features while supporting migration to Angular and React.
  • Navigate complex business rules and logic trees governing legal document assembly.
  • Assess AI-generated code for correctness, completeness, and suitability.
  • Use AI to generate unit tests and collaborate with QA on test scenarios and automation.
  • Collaborate with product, development, and QA teams on technical solutions.
  • Document code in French.
  • Monitor engineering practices and tooling and share findings with the team.

Requirements

  • Typically 8+ years of software development experience in a comparable environment, with delivery across backend and frontend layers.
  • Strong, hands-on experience building and maintaining APIs and web applications in .NET Core using C#.
  • Ability to reason about performance, scalability, and security decisions in .NET Core/C#.
  • Practical TypeScript development experience utilizing Angular or React libraries, with comfort working across both frameworks.
  • Solid knowledge of OWASP and CWE/SANS25 practices for vulnerability detection and protection.
  • Production experience with SQL databases and understanding of data modelling impacts on application behavior.
  • Experience working with AI development agents and evaluating AI-generated code critically.
  • Full proficiency in French and English, spoken and written.
  • Authorization to work in Canada; SOVRA cannot sponsor work visas or transfers.
  • College diploma or bachelor’s degree in software development, computer science, or a related field; equivalent professional experience is also accepted.
