Responsibilities
Participate in a daily meeting with the Data Platform team to review pipeline status, ingestion, and blockers
Design, develop and maintain ingestion pipelines from source systems to the Bronze layer
Clean, standardize and consolidate data in the Silver layer
Model Gold data sets with dbt for internal teams and external clients
Collaborate with Product, Go-to-Market and Artificial Intelligence teams to translate business needs into Gold data products
Support external clients' data access, Embedded BI, and prepared data exports
Monitor pipeline SLAs, resolve production incidents, and maintain catalog metadata and lineage
Perform data quality checks and support regulatory requests, audits and incident investigations
Implement new ingestion mechanisms, design data sets for AI applications, and optimize lakehouse platform cost and performance
Design and maintain data models and schemas as well as ETL processes
Collaborate with source owners, data analysts and other stakeholders
Provide technical support and continuously improve data engineering practices
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Three years or more of experience in data engineering, data warehousing and ETL processes
Proficiency in Python and SQL
Experience with AWS data services, including S3, Glue and Athena
Hands-on experience with dbt for data transformation and modeling
Familiarity with data lakehouse and medallion architectures (Bronze/Silver/Gold)
Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, notably Terraform
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
Strong problem-solving, analytical and communication skills
Attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment
Customer-focused communication and interpersonal skills
