- Electrical Engineer in Training at Stantec delivering on buildings projects. Supporting electrical system design and report writing under the guidance of a P.Eng. team lead.
Responsibilities
- work as a junior to intermediate Electrical Engineer in Training, reporting to a P.Eng. team lead
- deliver on buildings projects throughout the province and country
- support in the design of electrical systems for buildings
- provide drawings & calculations, report writing and attendance in meetings
- assisting in the design and coordination of projects of varying complexity/size
- coordination with the lead engineer to evaluate, select, specify, and engineer electrical systems or products for a project
- development of a design from preliminary concepts through the construction document stage
- participate in project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants, owner and contractor
- assist with developing and managing the project scope, budget, staffing and schedule
- participate in constructability reviews
- quality assurance and quality control on projects
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering / Integrated Engineering / Engineering Physics OR Technical Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology
- 2+ years of experience in the Buildings Industry is an asset
- EIT, AScT, P.Eng., P.L.Eng. eligibility an asset
