About the role
- Sun Life Advisor Trainee gaining insurance and investment experience through client relationships, licensing, and business development. Preparing for a future financial advisor career.
Responsibilities
- Build long-term relationships with people and help them plan financially for different life stages
- Work out of a local Sun Life District office
- Gain knowledge of Sun Life products, tools, processes, and practical skills while working directly with Sun Life Clients
- Obtain dual licensing in insurance and mutual funds
- Handle inbound and outbound calls providing holistic life, health, and wealth solutions
- Complete business development activities and identify personal market opportunities
- Execute activities in preparation for program graduation and launch of an advisor career
- Split time between the Prospr advisor team, reporting to an ADP Sales Manager, and exposure to a standalone advisor role with the local Sun Life District leadership team
Requirements
- History of achievements (professional, academic, athletics, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of and passion for retail insurance and investment products
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Enjoys engaging, developing, and maintaining relationships with people
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to motivate others to action
- LLQP license or completion of all LLQP course/exam requirements (required)
- Mutual Fund License or course/exam completion (nice to have)
- Business development skills (nice to have)
