- Case Management Consultant coaching disability claims teams for Sun Life, a global insurer. Improving claims outcomes, team skills, client service, and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Coach an assigned disability claims team on Outcome Focused Case Management
- Improve case managers’ skills and appropriate use of tools and approaches
- Act as the primary coaching resource for the assigned team
- Support staff in achieving office targets, managing workloads, difficult cases, workflows, and processes
- Help prioritize work items to meet client service standards and Sun Life best-practice guidelines
- Identify opportunities to continuously improve processes and service excellence, quality, and financial commitments
- Contribute to business retention and growth by cultivating excellence within the team
- Report emerging trends so they can be addressed and useful learnings leveraged nationally
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Long and Short Term Disability Claims or a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
- Proficient knowledge of group insurance policy and coverage concepts
- Exceptional case management, organizational, and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal listening and communication skills
- Ability to deliver constructive feedback tactfully and sensitively
- Strong training and coaching skills
