About the role

  • Senior Data Engineer responsible for designing software systems that power Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for data solutions in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the design and implementation of software for systems that power Skip’s Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of data scientists, data analysts, product managers, and software engineers to understand their data requirements.
  • Use software engineering best practices such as version control (Git), modularity, and CI/CD principles to ensure maintainable, scalable, and reliable analytics codebase.
  • Create clean, well-structured datasets for a variety of use cases, including reporting, analysis, and machine learning.

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience in developing big data pipelines, data warehouses, and/or software engineering
  • Strong hands-on experience with Python, SQL
  • Experience working with multiple cloud platforms preferably Google Cloud Platform.
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines using SQL
  • Strong in Dimensional Modeling concepts applying Kimball techniques.
  • Implement and champion data quality, integrity, and governance throughout the data lifecycle.
  • Investigate and resolve data-related issues, proactively identifying patterns and trends to prevent future problems.
