Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end delivery lifecycle across business analysis, quality assurance, testing, implementation, and post-production support
Analyze and document current-state and future-state business processes and assess business and system impacts
Ensure requirements traceability from requirements through design, testing, implementation, and change management
Provide subject matter expertise and thought leadership to drive business value, innovation, scalability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement
Define and support acceptance criteria, test strategies, test plans, and test cases
Lead analysis and definition of business capabilities, target operating models, and solution requirements
Assess business opportunities, operational challenges, and regulatory requirements and recommend strategic solutions
Govern test execution, defect management, risk mitigation, and quality objectives
Support operational readiness, implementation, stabilization, and post-implementation activities
Ensure deliverables comply with regulatory obligations, internal controls, risk frameworks, testing standards, and best practices
Identify opportunities to improve delivery efficiency, testing effectiveness, automation, and solution quality
Elicit, analyze, document, validate, and manage functional and non-functional requirements
Liaise between business and technology teams and align requirements, priorities, dependencies, risks, and delivery expectations
Lead cross-functional workshops and decision forums
Coordinate delivery and testing resources, environments, tools, vendors, and dependencies
Manage delivery, testing, operational, compliance, and technology risks and mitigation strategies
Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, decisions, and outcomes to stakeholders and senior leadership
Influence decisions and facilitate consensus across business, operations, technology, compliance, and vendor partners
Contribute to strategic planning, governance, business transformation, and technology modernization
Oversee requirements and testing artifacts and ensure enterprise standards, governance, and audit adherence
Lead and coordinate delivery and testing teams to achieve milestones, quality objectives, and commitments
Promote business analysis, testing, delivery governance, and risk management best practices
Foster a collaborative, inclusive, high-performing team environment
Champion continuous learning, innovation, and adoption of delivery and testing best practices
Requirements
Undergraduate degree or technical certificate
8+ years of relevant experience
5+ years leading complex cross-functional initiatives within financial services, payments, deposits, or regulatory transformation programs
Advanced knowledge of applications supported by the team, including system components, functionality, interfaces, data flows, and business rules
Advanced knowledge of the bank's PDLC methodology, business testing, and project management
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
Expert knowledge of business analysis frameworks, requirements management, process modeling, testing methodologies, and software delivery lifecycle practices
Strong understanding of regulatory, compliance, operational risk, and audit requirements within financial services
Substantial knowledge of SWIFT messages, ISO20022, MX and MT formats
Knowledge of non-wire payment methods such as drafts and checks
Understanding of payment systems including Canada Lynx, US CHIPS, and FedWire
Experience with payment data, canonical models, and payment data mapping
Ability to create and document Target Operating Models (TOMs)
Proficiency in MS Office, Agile methodology, Product Owner mindset, Shift Left testing methodologies, Jira, JTMF, and Confluence
Effective oral and written communication skills
Ability to bridge business users and technical requirements
Ability to collaborate and build relationships across business and technology partners
Consulting and/or strategy experience preferred
Tier 1 bank or financial institution experience preferred
PMP, Agile Certified Practitioner, or Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certifications are assets
