Mental health clinician providing counselling, assessments, and treatment recommendations for TELUS Health workplace support programs. Supporting employee recovery through specialized mental health and addictions interventions.
Responsibilities
Provide in-person and remote counselling services for TELUS Health Workplace Support Programs (WSP)
Provide mental health and substance use assessments
Develop treatment recommendations and provide intervention
Provide professional assessment and counselling to support individuals’ return to healthy productivity
Address longer-term, specialized, or intensive mental health and addictions issues
Report to the WSP team manager
Assess psycho-social disorders and develop treatment plans
Write clear and concise clinical reports
Collaborate in a team environment
Requirements
Master’s Degree in Counselling or Social Work
Minimum of 5 years post-graduate clinical experience
Registration with Professional College or Association (BCACC, CCC or BCCSW)
Strongly developed substance use, trauma, mental health assessment and diagnostic skills
Ability to adapt to clinical supervision
Ability to assess all types of psycho-social disorders and develop treatment plans
Ability to use or have knowledge of clinical assessment tools
Ability to write clinical reports in a clear and concise manner
Experience and expertise with mandated clients
Basic knowledge of BC community resources and case management skills
Competency with computer skills and MS Office
Strongly developed documentation and reporting skills
Excellent time management skills
Ability to work in person / remotely and collaborate in a team environment
Past experience or familiarity with substance use assessments is a strong asset
