About the role

  • Registered Nurse responsible for administering influenza vaccines during the annual flu campaign. Join a dynamic, customer service-oriented healthcare team in Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Administer influenza vaccines to patients
  • Informing patients of the side effects of vaccination
  • Implementing emergency measures, as required
  • Compile and inventory vaccines administered
  • In depth knowledge of current guidelines, practice standards and medical directives
  • Provide quality, safe, compassionate care to all clients
  • Communicate and work effectively with all other members of the interdisciplinary team
  • Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Positive and results focused attitude
  • Ability to take initiative and demonstrate proactive/preventative approaches to care

Requirements

  • BN or BScN - Required
  • Current registration and license in good standing with the applicable provincial nursing regulatory body (e.g., CNO, CRNA, or BCCNM)
  • CPR certification up to date
  • Minimum of 3 years nursing experience (private or public sector)
  • Ready to travel to the client site
  • Valid driver’s license and have access to a car
  • Interest in customer service and a corporate work environment
  • Professionalism and strong judgment
  • Assiduity, autonomy, punctuality, discretion, interpersonal skills
  • Ability to make decisions
  • ACLS certification (Great-to-haves)
  • Previous experience in primary care or acute care is an asset
  • Computer skills are an asset (EMR, Power Point, Excel, Word)
