About the role

  • Maintenance Reliability Engineer optimizing asset reliability, availability, and maintenance costs at Tenaris, a global manufacturer of advanced tubular energy products. Supporting steel mill investments, reliability strategies, and complex maintenance solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance asset availability, reliability, and cost efficiency by optimizing maintenance strategies, improving work quality, and reducing maintenance workload
  • Identify and promote best practices, monitor key maintenance indicators, and ensure effective implementation
  • Analyze and resolve routine and complex issues across mills as needed
  • Support sound investment decisions by contributing to the investment evaluation process
  • Manage, update, and share technical maintenance documentation, specifications, procedures, and operational processes
  • Set procedures and standards by identifying best practices and defining maintenance key variables and technical standards
  • Support or lead specification, procurement, installation, upgrades, and modifications of assets with Engineering
  • Define asset life cycles and analyze equipment data and history to identify improvement opportunities
  • Act as a formal referent for assigned technology/processes
  • Participate in cause-failure analysis and define and implement solutions
  • Propose and optimize maintenance strategies, equipment criticality analysis, preventive maintenance activities, and stock/spare parts levels
  • Audit preventive and corrective work and evaluate completed tasks and reworks
  • Propose and implement projects and methods to improve maintenance activities and reduce workload
  • Support evaluation and upgrading of preventive maintenance task lists and work orders
  • Analyze and solve highly complex issues across assigned mills
  • Participate in homologation of new supplies and services
  • Participate in planning plant/system investments
  • Analyze maintenance information systems to support decision-making
  • Define procedures and foster maintenance program execution to optimize energy use and reduce resource waste
  • Comply with Tenaris policies, procedures, management standards, laws, and regulations
  • Protect assigned facilities, equipment, and physical resources

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years experience in similar Maintenance Reliability role
  • Minimum 5 years experience working in steel manufacturing or similar environment
  • Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics
  • Familiarity with manufacturing environment safety procedures
  • Previous experience with SAP considered an asset
  • Previous experience with Project Management considered an asset
  • Flexibility to work 8-hour days based on business needs
  • Participation in an on-call rotation
  • Work in a steel manufacturing mill
