About the role
- Senior Software Engineer II designing Boomi integrations across Salesforce, SAP, and Adobe platforms for Thomson Reuters. Developing APIs, troubleshooting enterprise workflows, and mentoring engineers.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement integration solutions for commercial platforms such as Adobe Experience Manager, Salesforce, and SAP
- Develop integrations with SaaS, AWS, and on-premises systems
- Analyze and interpret Process and Atom logs
- Own development end to end, from coding and unit testing through UAT support and production deployment
- Troubleshoot API requests, SFDC connectors/listeners, database connectors, web services connectors/listeners, Java or Groovy scripts, process/sub-process dependencies, scheduled data jobs, and performance issues
- Create and manage RESTful APIs and monitor API performance using analytics tools
- Work with REST, SOAP, web services, API communication protocols, SFTP/S, HTTP/S, and File I/O
- Build and develop Boomi processes and work with XML, JSON, CSV, and database formats
- Participate in requirements gathering and knowledge-transfer sessions and create integration-flow documentation
- Troubleshoot message queues
- Mentor and guide junior software engineers through code reviews and technical development
- Handle business stakeholders during P1 and P2 incidents and collaborate across teams and time zones to resolve issues
- Lead routine projects with manageable risks and resource requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in integration development
- Strong knowledge and hands-on expertise in the Boomi platform, including API development, Boomi connectors, data mapping, error and exception handling, and process design
- Proficiency in integration patterns and data exchange formats such as REST, SOAP, JSON, and XML
- Experience developing large-volume and high-velocity enterprise integrations
- Ability to lead routine projects with manageable risks and resource requirements
- Experience building integrations that are stable, reliable, and supportable
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize work effectively and independently
- Ability to write clean, readable code
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, JavaScript, or Python (preferred)
- Familiarity with DataDog, Postman, and Azure DevOps (preferred)
- Understanding of Boomi environments and configurations, preferably Boomi on AWS (preferred)
