About the role
- Staff Software Engineer designing C# enterprise AI services across AWS, Azure, and GCP. Leading Agentic AI platforms, secure APIs, and engineering practices at Thomson Reuters.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement scalable, resilient, and secure enterprise AI services using C#
- Build foundational components for Agentic AI, LLM orchestration, and intelligent automation
- Lead integration and utilization of Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, GCP Vertex AI, and emerging Agentic AI technologies
- Build cloud-based solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP
- Develop secure API layers using Azure API Management and Google Cloud APIGEE
- Provide hands-on technical leadership and mentorship to Enterprise AI Services engineers
- Drive Scrum/Kanban agile development practices, backlog management, and timely platform enhancements
- Serve as a technical subject matter expert and unblock complex challenges
- Research, evaluate, and prototype AI, Generative AI, and Agentic AI architectures
- Inform the platform roadmap by assessing technology maturity and strategic alignment
- Embed security-by-design principles and address AI security concerns such as prompt injection and data poisoning
- Collaborate with the information security team on enterprise-grade security features
- Prepare and present technical and non-technical documentation
- Identify, assess, and mitigate technical and operational risks in AI system deployment and scaling
Requirements
- B.S./B.A. in Computer Science or related field; or equivalent level of experience
- 8+ years of progressive experience in software development and platform engineering, with significant focus on cloud-native architectures
- Expert-level proficiency in C# development
- Experience building and deploying complex, highly scalable, and performant distributed systems and APIs
- Previous software or cloud engineering and development experience required
- UNIX/Linux administration experience required
- AWS Cloud experience required
- Azure Cloud experience required
- Google Cloud experience, including APIGEE, is an asset
- Cloud Practitioner or higher AWS certification preferred
- AZ-900 or AI-900 and higher Azure certification preferred
- Understanding of vector capabilities and other AI functions
- CI/CD experience is a plus
- Understanding of Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitHub Actions, JFrog Artifactory, and Docker preferred
- C# programming required
- Python and SQL experience is an asset
