About the role

  • IT Engineering Manager leading TJX Canada’s finance technology modernization across 60+ applications. Coaching engineers and driving DevSecOps, agile delivery, ERP, and cloud-based solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire a talented engineering team within TJX’s Global Finance Technology Organization
  • Drive engineering excellence and champion DevSecOps and agile best practices
  • Help shape cloud-based solutions supporting financial decision-making and company growth
  • Coach, mentor, and develop engineering talent
  • Manage engineers at varying levels of seniority
  • Represent the product team in the Engineering Community of Practice
  • Partner with stakeholders to drive technical solutions meeting business needs
  • Ensure mechanisms for technical oversight are in place
  • Ensure engineering best practices are followed for operational excellence
  • Align roadmaps and strategies with architectural standards
  • Contribute to high-level architecture
  • Maintain product health and deliver engineering operational targets
  • Serve as the first technology contact for strategic requests
  • Act as an escalation point for technical delivery issues
  • Participate in a transformative, multi-year modernization journey affecting more than 60 finance applications

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent engineering skillset, training, or technical work experience
  • Extensive experience working within the solution delivery domain
  • Experience as a technical lead on large full lifecycle implementations of SaaS and on-prem applications
  • Experience in agile methodology
  • Technical leadership and business-facing experience taking ideas from conception to implementation
  • Deep knowledge of ERP systems and their implementations
  • Experience with source code control and continuous integration tools
  • Knowledge of Finance applications such as Oracle EBS, Vertex, ReconNet, C2FO, OneSource, OneStream, IBM Planning Analytics, Itamlink, or Lucernex
  • Knowledge of Java, .NET Framework, and ERP applications
  • Knowledge of middleware such as Dell Boomi and MuleSoft
  • Cloud experience with Azure or AWS
  • Experience with source control management, such as Git, and continuous integration tools, such as Jenkins
  • Candidates aged 18 and over must undergo a criminal record check
