About the role

Application Support Analyst supporting hospital applications, integrations, and clinical IT operations at Trillium Health Partners. Managing upgrades, troubleshooting, vendors, and healthcare data interoperability.

Responsibilities

Support, advise, and oversee health informatics matters for applications in the Applications I.S. Team Portfolio
Support, maintain, and implement hospital applications
Provide applications support, systems integration analysis, and vendor management
Liaise with departments, clinical staff, end users, IT teams, and vendors on issues, projects, and rollouts
Identify opportunities to innovate, enhance, and increase application service delivery
Assist with problem management activities
Analyze, design, and implement solutions for clinical, financial, and administrative applications
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and minimize downtime for clinical users
Translate operational needs into technical specifications
Develop and document technical specifications, workflows, and user training materials
Support system integration, data interoperability, privacy compliance, and regulatory requirements
Project manage application upgrades and new system implementations
Test new systems, version upgrades, interfaces, and system modifications
Provide escalation support to the Applications Support team during business hours
Participate in system patching and security vulnerability mitigation
Document and maintain application profiles for Information Services
Participate in disaster recovery planning and go-live support for new deployments
Maintain knowledge of healthcare IT trends, interoperability standards, and regulatory updates

Successful completion of either a university degree or college diploma in computer science or a related IT field
Preferred five (5) years of recent related experience in hospital clinical and/or Hospital Information Systems/EMR experience
Preferred five (5) years of recent related experience supporting multiple applications in a large-scale corporation or business
In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, including servers, networking, databases, applications, and telephony
Working knowledge of HL7, FHIR, and other healthcare data exchange standards
Familiarity with biomedical equipment
In-depth knowledge of IT security standards and risk mitigation
Familiarity with SQL, Oracle, and data analytics platforms
Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting incidents and performing root cause analysis
Strong documentation and organizational skills
Experience with privacy and security best practices in a hospital environment
Ability to analyze data and make recommendations
Previous experience completing technical assessments and providing effective recommendations
Clinical professional designations are an asset
Exceptional multitasking, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
ITIL and/or PMP certification is an asset
Ability to participate in on-call after-hours rotations, disaster recovery planning, and go-live support

Temporary full-time employment for 12 months
Hybrid workplace arrangement
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM schedule
On-call after-hours rotation participation
