About the role

  • Strategic Financial Analyst building forecasts, unit economics, and M&A models for Trulioo’s digital identity verification platform. Partnering with FP&A and business leaders in Vancouver’s hybrid office.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the annual operating planning process for the assigned business segment
  • Manage and refine rolling forecasts
  • Analyze monthly and quarterly results against prior periods and budgets
  • Break down and escalate major variances with strategic context
  • Collaborate with the VP of FP&A on executive and board communications
  • Create KPI dashboards, quarterly board materials, and investor updates
  • Analyze margin drivers including transaction volumes, pricing structures, and product mix
  • Model growth initiatives with leaders in Sales, Product, Operations, and Customer Success
  • Build multi-scenario financial models for corporate development, M&A diligence, integration, and strategic expansion
  • Define key metrics for unit economics and efficiency
  • Establish automated dashboards and maintain accountability across the organization
  • Aggregate financial data from diverse sources and improve transactional data flows
  • Use LLMs and AI tools to automate reporting pipelines, optimize forecasting models, and flag transaction anomalies

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience within corporate development, private equity, or junior investment banking
  • 2–3 years of hands-on analyst or FP&A experience in fintech, payments, or transaction-focused industries
  • Experience building and defending robust financial models during due diligence and high-level leadership meetings
  • Experience modeling unit economics, transaction volumes, and pricing structures
  • Deep understanding of cohort profitability and CAC/LTV dynamics
  • Ability to identify discrepancies and data logic errors in complex financial models
  • Experience stress-testing financial models and assumptions
  • Practical experience using Claude or similar AI tools to prompt financial models, interpret data outputs, and automate routine analytical tasks
  • Curiosity about financial results and business drivers
  • Prior exposure to identity verification, compliance, or regulatory fintech is a plus
  • Experience in scaling or hypergrowth companies is a plus
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada
  • Willingness to work from the Vancouver office three days per week
