About the role

  • Functional Analyst configuring and supporting University of Alberta enrolment systems. Improving registration processes and student services across the student journey.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expertise and knowledge regarding the University’s enrolment systems
  • Advise business users on system capabilities and recommend system solutions or changes
  • Participate in system/process improvement projects and initiatives
  • Support change management strategies for implementation of new systems, functionality, and features
  • Configure enrolment systems
  • Provide operational production support for enrolment and student service functions, including recruitment, admissions, timetabling, registration, tuition/fees, student records, financial support, conduct, convocation, and continuing education
  • Support development of operational reports and queries
  • Inform data requests related to enrolment systems
  • Improve processes and utilize available system functionality to support the student journey and student experience

Requirements

  • Related post-secondary degree or diploma
  • Minimum of two years of related experience working with student administration systems in a post-secondary environment
  • Demonstrated competence and aptitude for working with technology
  • Thorough knowledge of University regulations, especially registration and enrolment functions
  • Logical and analytical problem-solving ability, including identifying root issues and preventing potential future issues
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to complete tasks and deliver expected outcomes under tight deadlines
  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with business users/stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions is ideal
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, MyCreds, Blackbaud Award Management, Symplicity Advocate/Accommodate, and/or Modern Campus products is highly valued
  • Knowledge of PSQuery, PeopleTools, PeopleCode, SQR, XML, SQL, HTML/Javascript, and Adobe products is an asset
