About the role
- Project Manager leading industrial automation projects from contract through delivery for Valmet’s pulp, paper, and energy industries. Managing technical, financial, customer, and execution responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage projects from signed contract through accepted delivery
- Resolve identified business needs within agreed schedules, budgets, and quality standards
- Serve as the main interface and maintain relationships with customers and other project participants
- Ensure all contractual obligations are fulfilled
- Carry overall technical and financial responsibility for projects
- Lead the nominated project organization efficiently and effectively
- Plan and coordinate engineering, logistics, FAT, customer training, commissioning, and startup activities
- Ensure contractual guarantees are fulfilled
- Hand over projects efficiently to the Service organization
Requirements
- Master's or bachelor's Degree in Engineering within the area of E&I or Automation, or Chemical Engineering within the area of Paper Making or Combustion
- Five to ten years of experience in Pulp & Paper, Power, or other heavy Process industry
- Three to five years of experience in a Project Lead position in the mentioned fields, or one to two years of experience in a Project Manager position in the mentioned fields
- Knowledge of Automation Control systems in the mentioned fields
- Knowledge of Valmet DNA and other Valmet Control systems is a strong advantage
- Fluently communicate in English and French, verbally and in writing
- Knowledge of Spanish is an advantage
- Background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen required as contingencies of employment
- Position is not available for international relocation
