- Director of Gift Cards & Services overseeing strategy, profitability, and growth at Walmart Canada. Leading innovations and partnerships to enhance service offerings and business performance.
Responsibilities
- The Director, Gift Cards & Services is responsible for defining and executing the strategy, growth, profitability, and financial results of Walmart Canada’s Gift Card and Services portfolio.
- Lead the end-to-end strategy and P&L for: Proprietary gift cards including: Retail, B2B, Digital Gift Cards, Out of Store and Directed Spend.
- Directs the execution of innovation, line extensions, retention strategies, and value proposition improvements to Walmart Services.
- Provides overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs; developing, communicating, building support for, and implementing business strategies.
- Develops and implements strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce.
Requirements
- 10+ years of leadership experience in financial services, payments, retail, or fintech.
- Proven people leadership experience, with a strong focus on leading teams, developing talent, coaching for performance, and building succession capability.
- Strong experience managing P&L and complex product portfolios.
- Deep understanding of: Gift Card ecosystem (closed/open loop cards) Fraud and risk management Retail financial services
- Demonstrated success in partner negotiations and strategic growth initiatives.
- Exceptional cross-functional leadership and executive communication skills.
- Proven ability to influence and partner across large, matrixed organizations to drive alignment, remove barriers, and deliver positive growth and business results.
- Track record of driving innovation and delivering customer-centric solutions.
