About the role
- Project Manager delivering commercial interior design projects for Ware Malcomb, a global commercial real estate design firm. Leading teams, budgets, contracts, consultants, and construction services.
Responsibilities
- Deliver innovative interior design projects from initial concept to construction
- Lead internal and external teams
- Maintain financial responsibility for projects by adhering to budgets and workplans
- Oversee development of contract documents
- Serve as the primary client contact
- Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate project phases
- Prepare project schedules and update project planners weekly
- Discuss project health administratively and technically with the operations leader
- Escalate changing project conditions to office leadership
- Issue and obtain approval for additional services
- Utilize resource groups for design and construction documents
- Provide construction services, including site visits and shop drawing reviews
- Coordinate with contracts, accounting, consultants, and quality-control teams
- Assemble consultant teams, identify scope, collect fees, select consultants, and facilitate contracts
- Mentor junior project members
- Assist with proposals, marketing, and client presentations
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in the field of Interior Design or Architecture
- Diverse project experience, including workplace, retail or other commercial
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design
- NCIDQ or ARIDO preferred
- AutoCAD and Revit skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and Newforma
- Thorough knowledge of building codes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to coordinate a complete set of contract documents
