About the role

  • Business Technology Analyst supporting Tru Cooperative Bank’s applications, networks, databases, and enterprise systems. Troubleshooting, deploying workstations, and maintaining IT operations across British Columbia.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support, guidance, advice and assistance to internal customers of applications, telecommunications, databases and enterprise computing systems
  • Troubleshoot, problem-solve and escalate technical issues when appropriate
  • Liaise with vendor contacts and branch technical representatives during system failures or escalations
  • Set up, maintain and deploy client systems, workstations, telecommunications equipment, printers and related software
  • Carry out daily operational routines to optimize hardware and software use
  • Support all levels within the technology group and ensure compliance with policies and standards
  • Develop, maintain and document IT installation and configuration processes and procedures
  • Regularly review and update documentation
  • Work non-standard or additional hours, including on-call support
  • Travel to various Tru Cooperative Bank business locations when required

Requirements

  • College, Trade or Tech School Diploma (2 years) in Computer Science/Information Technology required
  • Obtain technical certification (i.e. MCSA) within first of employment required
  • 3 years related IT experience, including a service desk function, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical and logical thinking / problem solving with high technical aptitude
  • Good team player with a positive attitude
  • Background in Windows 11 and Microsoft Active Directory
  • Solid knowledge of information technology concepts, theories, practices and techniques, with emphasis on technical service in a call center or help desk environment
  • Familiarity with Office 365, Microsoft 365 Administration, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive for Business and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure ID)
  • Understanding of risk and risk ownership, including adherence to policies and procedures
  • Must complete a background check, such as employment verification, credit check and criminal record check
